Music Program
The Music & Arts Department nurtures creativity, discipline, and confidence through music, movement, and theater. Students develop foundational skills in music theory, instrumental performance (piano, band, and orchestra), rhythmic drumming, expressive movement, and dramatic arts. Through individual practice, ensemble collaboration, and performances, students strengthen musical literacy, creativity, teamwork, and self-expression. Our program culminates in two annual showcases in December and May, allowing students to share their talents through music, movement, and theatrical expression.
Instrumental Music Program
This program introduces students to the fundamentals of music literacy and instrumental performance. Students receive instruction in music theory, technique, and ensemble participation using keyboards and band or orchestra instruments. Emphasis is placed on music reading, listening skills, creativity, and proper performance etiquette. Through both individual practice and group collaboration, students develop discipline, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for musical expression.
Rhythmic Drumming, Movement & Creative Expression
This course introduces students to the foundational skills of rhythmic drumming and expressive movement. Students explore hand percussion, body percussion, and choreographed movement, while learning to creatively interpret sound through theatrical and expressive elements. The class emphasizes rhythm, coordination, tempo, teamwork, creativity, and confidence. Students work toward two major performance showcases each year: one in December and one in May, featuring group drumming, movement, choreography, and dramatic interpretation.
Theater Arts Program
The Theater Arts program helps students develop confidence, communication skills, and emotional awareness through public speaking, skits, and short plays. Students engage in creative expression that highlights real-life scenarios and life skills, supporting healthy perspectives on emotions, relationships, and personal challenges. This course encourages students to explore storytelling and performance while fostering self-expression, empathy, and personal growth that influences the mind, body, and soul.
