At Furtah Preparatory School, we aim to do more than promote the learning of facts. We want our high school students to develop self-confidence and take risks as they learn to think for themselves. Our approach is to guide and instruct students as they explore academic and interdisciplinary subjects to build a strong foundation for their coming years in a college classroom and in the workplace.
Courses are designed to give FPS students exposure to a variety of world views and paradigms. Rather than telling our high school students what to know and what to think, we mentor and guide our students as they learn how to think and how to acquire knowledge. Our goal is to engage them with critical thinking and encourage them to develop self-expression.
Additional high-level educational opportunities are provided through dual enrollment as well as online learning through GA Virtual. This enables our students to excel where necessary, and supplement their areas of individual interest.
We also prepare high school students to be good global citizens, through service and leadership opportunities.
