How: Students are taught how to read - not to guess. They work at the chalkboard as they learn by doing. Errors are corrected immediately.

In 1981, Mr. Furtah established a reading clinic for children and adults which he currently operates as The Center for Reading Development in Acworth, Georgia. His technique is based on the uniqueness of the multi-sensory phonics method developed by Charlotte F. Lockhart. The center's program has grown considerably since its establishment.
