GISA Interscholastic Competition, hosted by Furtah Prep in 2009 and 2010, offers students the opportunity to compete on an academic and fine arts level. This competition, otherwise known as Literary Meet, focuses on individual and small group achievements in the areas of Spelling, Essay writing (personal and formal), Extemporaneous Speaking, Dramatic and Comedic Interpretation, Voice (Girls’ Trio, Boys’ Quartet, Girls’ Solo, Boys’ Solo), Piano, and many others.

Although we are small, our students have always placed in Literary Meet.

• JJ Shepherd- 3rd place Region (after a tie breaker for second) for Comedic Interpretation
