August -
School begins a little later this year.

September-
Floods across Georgia paralzye counties and shut down schools, including Furtah Prep. Donations are made to MUST Ministries and The Red Cross in an effort to help the community.

October-
Halloween festivities are better than ever, with clever costumes by faculty and students alike.
Matt Medina, JJ Shepherd and Emma Culver perform "Dispatchers from Hell".
Matt Medina is awarded a Best Performer award at Region One Act Play competition.

November-
The Thanksgiving Feast goes off without a hitch and the FPS Family comes together to celebrate.
Montessori and the Lady Falcons come together to learn about basketball.  

December-
FPS hosts the Annual Christmas Basketball Tournament, where the boys take 1st place!

January-
An earthquake with a 7.0 magnitude hits Haiti and once again FPS helps out by donating important items to the cause. 
Homecoming sees Jared Gilleland and Emma Culver crowned as King and Queen, and Tyler Whitley and Kayla Willard are crowned Prince and Princess. The girls lose by 2 points only, and the boys win by at least 20.
James Adams is awarded the Yes I Can Award by the Council for Education of Children. He was nominated by Mr. Furtah and will accept his award in Nashville at the Grand Ole Opry.  

February-
FPS joins Facebook. 
Boys Varsity heads to State.

March-
Literary Meet is a success, even though it has to be moved from Reinhardt College due to snow. Matt Medina takes first place for dramatic interpretation, and JJ Shepherd takes 3rd place for comedic interpretation, just missing going to State by a tie breaker for 2nd place. Yunji Kim takes 4th place for female solo voice. All in all, Lea Valencia-Noring and her "staff" make it all happen at a moment's notice.

Mitzi LeBeouf does another bang up job for Prom, having impressed with her talents at Homecoming. She and Coach Tiffani throw a super "party" at the Marlowe House, where the kids dance and celebrate 3 seniors' birthdays! JJ Shepherd, Emma Culver and Jordan Harber all share the same birthday and were presented with mini cakes at Prom. Jared Gilleland wins a flat screen TV, and others win numerous amounts of prizes donated by so many people and companies.

Lady Falcons soccer is taking off and they win against Dominion, a long time difficult rival; they win several games at a tournament, and they are having a great time on the field.

The Journalism class visits WSB-TV and meets Clark Howard!

April-
After Spring Break, spring testing, then on to the big finish!
State Literary Meet was a success for Matt Medina, as he took 4th place in Dramatic Interpretation- our first ever state competitor!

May-
Graduations, both for Seniors and for 8th Graders, were a big hit and many new awards were given to the class of 2010. They really set the bar and will be an inspiration to those who follow in their footsteps.
