New to Furtah Prep in 2009, led by Donna Thiel, athletes are encouraged to assist the Elementary school students in the classroom, modeling good behavior, leadership and academic curiosity.

GOAL:
To provide an opportunity for the athletes to mentor and support learning in the Elementary Program.

REQUIREMENTS:
Open to Seniors and Juniors who maintain good standing (As and Bs) in their classes.
Members must display respect for themselves and others.  
Students must be recommended by the Coach of their chosen sport.

COMMITMENT:
Donate at least 30 minutes per week (sometimes more) to mentor in the Elementary classroom.
Sign in is required.

BENEFITS:
Participation will provide for the Community Service component for future references needed for school and career opportunities.
Students will establish the image of a well-rounded athlete and be a role model for the younger students.
